Also don’t open your eyes underwater.
The annual Polar Bear Dip New Years Day in Herring Cove.
Come see the drunks, the fats, the skivs, the bosoms, and of course the cowards.
Not for me you say. Probably not, but that’s the point. Have fun for once in your life, or year.
I have averaged the amount of hours I spend indoors this winter, on average per day I am spending upwards to 22 hours a day indoors. That is as most (generous) 2 hours a day total exposure to the elements. From walking from house, to car, driving everywhere, underground garages, pedways. Don’t get me wrong I love me some cozy fireplaces, but enough is enough.
Get outside, the sun is beautiful on the face. The air fresh, good for the lungs. As for jumping in freezing cold polluted water to start the New Year, well… it is not for everybody, but it might be for you.
At least come, enjoy the party, hundreds will be there, dog friendly, bring donations for Feed Nova Scotia.
